Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
After initial contact, we will set up a brief, free consultation in your home. That will allow us to see what your home's specific needs are and for you to have the opportunity to meet us. We want you to feel at ease, should you choose to hire us.
Snowy Owl charges by the visit, not by the hour ... which is why an in-person consultation is important. Each home is different and has a unique set of home watch needs. Your quote will be based on the amount of time it takes for us to check your home or condo.
RESPECTFULLY:
• We will treat your home how we want ours treated. We wear booties inside your home.
• We do not touch anything that isn't required to see your home well.
DISCREETLY:
• We don't advertise on the sides of our vehicles, for your privacy while checking on your home.
• We never share personal information with your neighbors/delivery people.
We guard your personal information.
• Your keys are never labeled with ID information and they are kept locked or on our person.
Most clients opt for weekly visits, but if you need more, additional visits can be added. We will not do less than every other week as too much can go wrong between gaps of two weeks or more.
We require a signed service contract but it does not stipulate a certain number of visits, rather it reflects the fiscal year, rate, and service type expectation. You can book us as needed, for months or just a few visits. You will only be charged for the times we visit your home or condo.
We require two physical keys: one active key and one back-up key. We find that door key codes are unreliable, and can often malfunctioning in cold weather.
